I didn't realize the cars were objects you could open.) You can't die and should you get booted out of someones mind, i.e. a level, you can go back in pretty much where you left off. The art style is something between Tim Burton and demented muppets. The setting is a summer camp for "gifted children".

I also picked up God of War which is similar to Prince of Persia.xirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03016925422018597986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5860449.post-1144779336035339322006-04-11T11:15:00.000-07:002006-04-11T11:15:00.000-07:00Yeah, I'd been waiting for the price on Paper Mari...Yeah, I'd been waiting for the price on Paper Mario to come down too. But I had so much fun re-playing Super Mario Sunshine and Teena so enjoyed watching me play it that we broke down & paid full price for PM. We're both having a great time with the new game.

You know how SMS is so very cheery? PM is cute to the same degree. But despite the cuteness, there is a certain level of darkness to the game. The central area is a crime-ridden city called Rogueport. One of Rogueport's neighborhoods is better kept than the others. That's because a mob boss runs that part of town. It's a little disturbing to think that a kid's game is presenting the idea that there may be benefits to organized crime. Also, one of the side-quests involves picking up a mysterious package from one shady character and delivering it to another. As I said to Teena, "Great, now I'm a drug mule."

But the game is a LOT of fun.

How's Psychonauts? I've heard good stuff about it.Philiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00690014716710756446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5860449.post-1144772937918218312006-04-11T09:28:00.000-07:002006-04-11T09:28:00.000-07:00i've been waiting for the price on that to drop. i...i've been waiting for the price on that to drop. i'm currently playing psychonauts.xirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03016925422018597986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5860449.post-1144683916083448782006-04-10T08:45:00.000-07:002006-04-10T08:45:00.000-07:00i apparently belong in amsterdam:http://images.blo...i apparently belong in amsterdam:

http://images.blogthings.com/whateuropeancitydoyoubelonginquiz/amsterdam.jpg

A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam. Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).gl.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11890196589573443189noreply@blogger.com
